You will need: two lengths of stiff wire which have been stripped of their sheathing and are strong enough so the wont collapse under their own weight, and two short lengths of wire which are flexible, one small light bulb from a torch with a small base of some kind to which you can attach wires, a suitable torch battery, some plasticine or tape, a board to fix it all to.

Basically a wobble detector completes an electrical circuit acting like a switch to make the light go on. Your task is to create this circuit. Tape two ends of different wires to the battery, one of which is stiff. Make this one into an interesting shape and tape it or use plasticine to let it stand upright. Connect a light bulb to the battery using the flexible wire. Connect one end of the last piece of wire stiff wire which is going to form the wand to the other length of flexible wire. Attach this flexible wire to the light bulb. Make a circular shape with the other end of the stiff wire. Use this shape to pass over the length of the other stiff piece of standing up wire. The light should go on if they touch!!.
