After the fall of Nazi Germany in 1945 the Vienna Mint still had blank planchets that weredesigned to mint Nazi GermanyPfennigs. Rather than disposing of these blanks the Austrian government under the direction of Allied forces and the appointed Austrian President Karl Renner used the blanks to make a Groschen in 1947. This coin was only minted in 1947 and never minted again. This is a true piece of Post-WWII history. In good condition this coin has a modest value of around $3.00.

I have one with a "50 Groschen", a flower going through the "0", on the obverse, and a shield on the reverse with the words "Republik Österreich" going around.
Well, darling, a Republik Osterreich 10 groschen is worth about 0.10 Austrian schillings, which is equivalent to roughly 0.01 euros. So, in simpler terms, it's basically chump change. Hope that clears things up for you, sugar!
