Vivien Bonnist Cord (1941 - ) was born in NY and grew up in Westchester County, NY. She attended Mamaroneck High School and San Antonio College in Texas. She opened a dance school on Ward Avenue in Mamaroneck in 1967 called the Progressive School of Dance which she operated for 15 year. In 1970 she started producing antiques and collectibles shows with partner William Fitzgerald, under the name of Cord and Fitzgerald. In 1972 Cord and Fitzgerald went separate ways and Vivien Cord continued with the business as Cord Shows Ltd. She produces events in CT and NY today but formerly held such events in Maryland, New Jersey, upstate New York and in Massachusetts. Cord Shows Ltd. events specialize in mid-priced, authentic antiques and collectibles plus vintage clothing, accessories, textiles and jewelry. The business enters it's 42nd year in 2012.
