Osterreich is the German name for Austria, and since 2002 it's used the euro as its currency like most other states in the European Union.

Every eurozone state, not just Austria, strikes euro coins. Each denomination has the same face design regardless of where it was struck, but the issuing states are allowed to use different national reverse designs. All euro coins and bills are valid everywhere in the eurozone regardless of where they were made.

In addition each state can strike special commemorative coins with unique designs.
