Kevlar padding was made to stop bullets from small caliber fire arms (9mm mostly) and it helps to protect from shrapnel caused by explosives. It is not designed to stop blades and is not very effective on knife attacks and stabbings. The military "bullet proof" vest or Individual Body Armor (IBA) is only bullet proof in the front center, back center, and sides under the armpits where the plates are inserted. The plates are thick and hard and will stop a 7.62 bullet once and then need replaced. The plates would probably stop a knife, but the impact would compromise the integrity of the plate.
Kevlar is used to stop some bullets. Normally it will stop pistol rounds but other rounds , especially an anti tank round.
Vital Slash + Poison Blade = Stop Blade
Depends on caliber & velocity of the bullet.
No Kevlar gloves are not bulletproof but they are cut resistant meaning that they could stop a knife from cutting your hand. Bulletproof materials are many layers thick and would be too bulky for gloves.
A kevlar helmet will stop pistol rounds or deflect a rifle round, a steel one will stop .22lr but nothing bigger or higher velocity
The protective plates, depending on the age of it, will be steel, ceramics, or kevlar.
