No. As per the stipulations for the match at Money in the Bank PPV in 2011, Cena would be fired by Vince McMahon if he lost the match. Actually CM Punk won the WWE Title at the PPV event and so, it was expected that McMahon will fire Cena in the RAW episode after the PPV. But, he wasn't fired. Triple H intervened and prevented the firing.
Yes, as part of a storyline between Vince McMahon and John Cena, Cena was told that he would be fired if he lost the title to CM Punk at Money In the Bank 2011 PPV. The next night however on Monday Night Raw, Triple H Interrupted McMahon before he could fire Cena and conveyed that Vince is no longer the Chairman of the WWE

Vince McMahon is busy and they have an unknown GM to keep people watching.
Jim Ross was actually fired twice in 1994.The first firing was due to Ross' first onset of Bell's Palsy, a condition that causes paralysis of the facial muscles. When WWF owner Vince McMahon was indicted by the federal government on steroid charges in 1994, Ross was re-hired to broadcast Monday Night Raw as McMahon's replacement. Once McMahon became available for commentary once again, Ross was let go once more and wouldn't be re-hired until 1995.
