The [W] in a description like '3[W] + Strength modifier' represents the die or dice you would normally roll for damage with the weapon or attack. In this case, you would triple the number of dice and add your character's strength modifier stat to get the final result.
If damage is normally 1d6, roll 3d6 instead.
If damage is normally 2d4, roll 6d4 instead.
The standard dice notation of 1d6 means one 6-sided die, 2d4 means two 4-sided dice, and so on.

Where are you from, beauty
Oh, dude, DND stands for Dungeons and Dragons. It's like this super nerdy game where you pretend to be wizards and warriors and roll dice to see if you can slay dragons or whatever. So, DND terms are just the jargon and rules you gotta know to not look like a total noob at the gaming table.
dnd - 1975 VG was released on: USA: 1975
There are instructions on how to make a monster in the DND 4E Dungeon Masters Guide on page 184.
The telephones in the office here have a DND button, which is pressed if someone does not want their telephone to ring, and it means Do Not Disturb
You need friends, a couple of notebooks, pens, a table, a storyline and (I recommend) a copy of the DnD Basic Rules.
