Quickclot combat gauze is a kaolin-infused bandage that will cause a decreased clotting time at the wound. A bandage is then wrapped around the site for protection and/or compression. The quickclot wrapper should be placed in the final outside fold of the dressing for easy identification of treatment rendered, so that the accepting facility is aware of its use.

Quickclot is a powder which is applied directly to the wound to prevent bleeding. Alternately it can be a quickclot infused gauze. A bandage is then wrapped around the site for protection and/or compression. The wrapper should be placed in the final outside fold of the dressing for easy identification of treatment rendered.
