In the last book of The Bible, Revelation, the apostle John relates how Jesus, as Michael the archangel, defeats the Devil and his demons and tells of the disastrous consequences resulting from their expulsion from heaven. We read: "Woe for the earth . . . because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time."-Revelation 12:9, 12. A thorough study of Bible prophecies indicates that this victory took place in heaven in or shortly after 1914.
Yes.
Michael the Archangel is usually shown with a sword which he uses to fight off evil demons.
St. Michael the Archangel is the head of the army of angels that fought against Satan and his angels. He threw Lucifer (Satan's angelic name)out of heaven to hell. Christian tradition assigns four offices to him: 1) to fight against Satan, 2) to rescue the souls of the faithful from the power of the devil, especially at the hour of death, 3) to be the champion of God's people, and 4) to call away from earth and bring men's souls to judgment. He has been venerated from ancient times as an angelic healer. His patronages include the military and policemen.
In the Book of Revelation, the archangel Michael appears primarily in Revelation 12:7-9, where he leads the heavenly armies in a battle against the dragon, representing Satan. Michael and his angels fight against the dragon and its angels, ultimately defeating them and casting them out of heaven. This passage highlights Michael's role as a protector of God's people and a warrior against evil.
it means "who is like god" Michael is the archangel who leads the army of heaven. His fight and victory against Satan is described in the Book of Revelation.
They have yet to fight... we know they will in the future though
Keri and Michael never had a fight.
The story of the Archangel Michael arguing about the body of Moses is referenced in the book of Jude verse 9:"Even the archangel Michael, when he argued with the devil and fought over the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him. Instead, he said, 'May the Lord rebuke you!'" ISV2There is no Old Testament reference to this fight but the story is classified as an Extra-Biblical Oral Tradition that no doubt Jude received either by hearing it spoken in his day or by inspiration of the Holy Spirit through a prophetic Word of Knowledge.
To fight for Freedom
Toussaint Louverture
He is mentioned 4 times in the bible as fighting against the powers of evil and is therefore regarded as a type of leader of God's army. We call on his name for protection and to help us to fight against the evil we encounter. Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke Satan, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host - by the Divine Power of God - cast into hell, Satan and all the evil spirits, who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
