The question is not complete, as caliber - and manufacturer, as concerns the M1911 -are not considered. Added: Personally I believe that the .45 caliber is a better man stopper round than the Beretta's 9 millimeter round. In the past I have carried the Mod 92 as an issued law enforcement service weapon. It is a MASSIVE pistol. The Mod 1911 Colt (or it's imitators) is also pretty hefty. If you are carrying it (legally, I hope) for self defense, neither of them are easily concealable. Most self defense shooting takes place well within 10 yards and both of the pistols you ask about are really too large for self defense carry. I would consider a smaller, more concealable pistol in either of those two calibers.
50-200 USD or so. It would be better than nothing.
Which Beretta are you talking about? If made to the same specifications, the only real difference would be cost.
Contact Beretta
would need a serial number to answer the question.....................
Probably, he is old but would still play better than the defense those losers have.
Naming the 3.8 engine and giving year of 'beretta' would certainly help.
Beretta would be a place to start, then want ads, gun shops, gun shows
I would say the 9mm Beretta. I am not an expert so someone else might not agree but that's my opinion. They both have their strong and weak points. One of the biggest problems encountered with the M9, function-wise, is the crappy aftermarket magazines. However, with proper factory magazines, and Beretta 92/99 series pistol (as well as the Taurus PT92/99 series) is very reliable.Advantages of the M9 include:Magazine capacity - holds 15 rounds vs. seven rounds in the M1911Double action capability - a feature lacking in the M1911Disadvantages include:Hammer drop safety - cannot be carried "cocked and locked" the way the M1911 can. It's interesting to note, however, that the Taurus PT92 (Taurus obtained a licence from Beretta and modified the design) has a frame mounted safety which allows for such a carry method.Less powerful cartridge - 9x19, as opposed to .45 ACPAdvantages of the M1911 include:Cartridge - The .45 ACP is considerably more powerful than the 9x19Ability to be carried "cocked and locked"Disadvantages include:Heavier recoil and longer recovery time between shotsReduced magazine capacitySingle action only
I just purchased a 9mm Beretta FS pistol. I would like to know the caliber of the round that this gun takes.
I would go with torkoal. Camerupt has a little better attack and better speed but torkoal has an Incredible defense. defense might not sound so important, but after having a torkoal, u get to see it's importance. u can beat the elite 4 with only a torkoal at a certain level through pure defense and special attack.
Depends on which model Beretta, and what condition it is in. A like-new Beretta 92 with adjustable sights might be worth $500. The same condition Beretta Cougar might be $350. If either of them are rusty or nicked or scratched, make it $250 or so.
A brand new M1911 can cost from $400--$2000+ or more (as of February 2015). There are many different companies that make the 1911, and several that create high-end models. Used 1911s can be purchased for much less, depending on condition.
