I would think it's because they want to change things for the family PG era. and also the nxt for new generation superstars. Personaly I think that the new era is not a good idea becAuse storys ain't that good anymore. But there is not a problem with changing a couple things

Raw has red ropes but now its white and then Smackdown has blue ropes and which i think is that the PG era stinks and they should bring back the attitude era.
