Why doesn't Kakashi show his true face in the naruto episodes?

It is probably because of his father, Sakumo. His father brought dishonor to his family and committed suicide. Kakashi must wear a mask over his face to keep from reminding everyone of his father's disgrace to the Hatake family.

There are many rumors regarding this. Some say that he wears it to conceal his identity (since many would say that his father was a disgrace). There is also another rumor that he wears to hide his perverted nosebleeds from reading his book. Either that, or Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto manga artist) felt like putting in a masked character.

He covers his left eye because of his Sharingan. He can't use it as effectively as an Uchiha, it puts a lot of strain on him, so he keeps it covered when not in use.

It has not yet been revealed why his mouth is covered.
