Until the WWE release a statement on www.WWE.com about the release of Mark Calaway who plays The Undertaker, he is still contracted to World Wrestling Entertainment, thus meaning even is he has been released, he is under the no compete cause anyway. Although this is currently not the case as of June 2nd, 2008.
The storyline with The Undertaker at the moment is that he is currently 'Fired' which ultimately removes him from TV for a certain time scale. He may be gone due to recuperation which will happen over the following months.
