A Franna crane is a type of mobile crane designed for lifting and moving heavy loads over short distances. Unlike fixed or truck-mounted cranes, a Franna crane does not have outriggers and can drive on public roads, making it highly versatile and easy to maneuver on job sites. It is also known as a “pick and carry” crane because it can lift a load and transport it while still attached. Commonly used in construction, mining, and industrial projects, Franna cranes are valued for their flexibility, speed, and ability to operate in confined spaces.
The fuel consumption rate of a 25 ton Franna crane can vary depending on factors such as load weight, distance travelled, and operating conditions. On average, a Franna crane of this size can consume around 8-10 gallons of fuel per hour under normal operating conditions.
Franna. A make of "Pick and Carry" crane common in Australia. The word is a genericised brand name (like "biro" or "sellotape") so to be proper, it should be capitalised but many Australians do not.
Certainly a driver's licence... Additionally you would need a HGV licence and a crane operators licence.
If by design flaws you mean limitations? Typically Frannas are rated from 10-20T lift, but as with any crane, extending the boom decreases this. Frannas do not have stabilisers and only have limited slew capability.
