The difference between manual and automatic slack adjusters is the way in which the brakes are adjusted. Automatic slack adjusters have sensors that do not let the brakes get too loose or too tight. Manual slack adjusters have to be adjusted by hand and can be set too tight in some cases.
manual slack adjusters need to be adjusted using a wrench .u do this by actually getting under neath truck and adjusting automatic slack adjusters ,ad just themselves thru normal use of brakes.thses are good for keeping brakes adjusted but a real pain if they over adjust,or need to be replaced they are difficult ,if not sometimes impoosable to back off to remove
Where I live if the truck was manufactured with automatic slack adjusters you can NOT replace them with manual ones. Check with your local DOT you never know.
yes alot
nothing. this is a dream
Automatic and Manual gearboxes are essentially the same, except that the driver does the shifting for a manual gearbox(my personal preference), and a computer shifts for an automatic gearbox.
There really aren't automatic or manual engines, but there are manual and automatic transmissions - gear boxes. Automatics don't need shifting as you pick up speed going forward, but manuals do.

Yes, Their is no difference between the rearends of a stick or automatic vehicle.
there isn't a difference cause theres no such thing as a automatic or manual engine. there is such thing as a manual transmission aka trans. and a automatic trans. the automatic shifts by hydrolic pressure that increases when acclurating. and a manual trans the person driving the vehical shifts the gears with a lever. i hope that's what you wanted to know.
manual fluid is thicker auto trans is like power steering fluid..watery
A manual transmission on a car is one that you control yourself via a stick shift. An automatic transmission is one that the car controls, based on your speed and incline.
Looking through FMCSR 393.47, the only requirement I see in there is that the effective length of a slack adjuster on each end of an axle must be the same.
Manual control means that it is controlled by humans, and automatic is it will work on its own. An example is a car's transmission. With manual transmission, you have to tell the car what gear to use. With automatic transmission, the car figures out what gear to use on its own by monitering factors such as RPM.
