A 1979 standard 305ci had not 160hp like a previous answer...but 135. because of upper motor sizing combustion chamber etc...the H.O. 305s had 165hp but thats from 1981.
You can use the pulleys, however, the 91 will probably have smog equipment that the 79 does not. You will have to get a shorter belt, as well.
