Any refrigeration supplier. You`ll need the compressor info, not the unit info. There is a tag with a Model#,Serial# and B/M# along with the electrical characteristics of the compressor. Get that info and go, that is all you need. The problem is you will need to have someone with the proper equipment and credentials recover the refrigerant charge as you can`t just blow it anymore, also you will need a person with the proper Federal credentials to buy new the gas as the supply house cannot sell it to you.
The Ruud Achiever 10 model UPKA-024JAS heat pump has a cooling capacity of approximately 24,000 BTU (British Thermal Units) per hour. This corresponds to a 2-ton capacity, making it suitable for medium-sized spaces. For heating, the BTU output can vary slightly depending on conditions, but it typically aligns with its cooling capacity.
two ton
Sequencer stuck closed.
ruud furnace only blows cold air, no heat
I just had a 15 SEER Ruud Heat Pump installed. It says, 'Made in Mexico' on back of unit.
I'm afraid your question is not very clear. Your heat pump is basically an air conditioning unit with back up heat strips. If your thermostat is wired correctly and I'm certain it was from the factory, then the AC and heat strips will never come on at the same time. Is it not going into cooling mode? Ruud has wiring diagrams for most all their equipment on the internet. With a little research, you should be able to find yours. The Model # of your heat pump is the key to that.
Based on typical naming conventions - 42 - in the model number indicates 42,000 btuh nominal or 3.5 tons.
It's frustrating I know. It appears to be the "holy grail" of questions when it comes to Ruud Heat Pumps. Why? I have absolutely no good answer. On my Ruud Achiever Series Heat pump there is a test plug on Defrost Board. I found on post that said there should be two reset pins on that same board. But I can find none.
The Ruud model number UBHA-24 corresponds to a heat pump with a capacity of 2 tons. This designation indicates its cooling and heating capacity, which is suitable for spaces that require moderate climate control. If you need more specific details or specifications, it's best to consult the product manual or the manufacturer's website.
it is necessary to heat the compressor and strike it with a rubber mallet!
call a ruud or rheem dealer with the serial number on the unit tag. They should be able to answer this.
In a car the heat usually comes from engine "waste heat". You just need to be running the engine. The compressor is part of the air conditioner, which is used for cooling not heating.
