i would first start by checking the amount of freon the a/c compresser has, it would also be a good idea to flush and refill fill it since you've already gone this far.

You may need to put in some antifreeze that may be why it blows hot air constantly you my be out of antifreeze in your truck. I have the same problem. I had it checked and was told my actuator,Temp valve is malfunctioned. Going to fix soon and hope it works. You can unplug it to shut of the heat, but in mine i now only have a little heat in the defrosters.
