Lester B. Pearson is buried at Maclaren Cemetery in Wakefield, Quebec.
He proposed the idea and all of Canada sent in 3000 designs to parliament to be voted on. Then parliament narrowed it down to 3 designs. Pearson wanted the 'Pearson Pennant Flag' which had blue and 3 maple leafs. Quebec wanted it with a Quebec symbol. But Parliament chose the flag we have today. SO HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CREATION OF THE CANADIAN FLAG.
I believe so.
Normand Bergeron was born on July 31, 1963, in Montral, Qubec, Canada.
The previous flag was the "Canadian Red Ensign" which had a Union Jack in the top left corner. In 1961, the leader of the Liberal Party, Lester Pearson, asked if there could be a new flag. He asked because the Liberals base, Quebec, didn't like the Union Jack on the flag. In 1963, Lester was the Prime Minister of Canada. He proposed to government of a new flag. Later George Stanley and J. R. Matheson came up with a design that was chosen.
They are both from Canada (Quebec I believe).

Yes. Quebec does occasionally get tornadoes.
Become independent country
There is NO state capital in Quebec. Canada is divided into PROVINCES , not staes. of which Quebec is one of the provinces. Its capital city is also named Quebec.
Some of the people of Quebec believe that they should have independence as a separate country.- so do some of the people of Scotland, Wales, Normandy, Sardinia, Texas, Idaho and many other places. Many people fail to see reality.
