In Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451," it is revealed that Montag, the protagonist, called in the alarm after he became disillusioned with the society's censorship and book burning. The alarm that Captain Beatty finally answers is a call to Montag's own house, where Montag's rebellion against the oppressive regime becomes evident. This moment marks a significant turning point in the story, highlighting the conflict between individual thought and societal control.
A monitored alarm system communicates to a central station in the event of an alarm. The operator then dispatches whatever authorities the alarm signals have indicated, e.g. Police, Fire, Ambulance.
A business security alarm has many functions. It can call the cops when a robbery is in progress by pushing the silent alarm or the alarm will go off when a break in happens that automatically calls the cops. It also can be used to call the fire department or an ambulance with a touch of a button.
There are several advantages to a security alarm system. Alarm systems can now be used to notify you via sms in the event of an opening or closing (notify when your kids get home from school) an actual alarm, a fire or carbon monoxide or gas leak, not to mention that 80% of all convicted burglars said they would not attempt to break in to a premise with an alarm system installed.
There are many benefits in having a personal alarm! The top two benefits are self defense and safety. Usually the personal alarm allows the wearer to press a button to call for help.
There are many recommended business security alarm systems. Examples of recommended business security alarm systems includes Tyco Integrated Security and Front Point Security.
Beatty Melts
Beatty may have let the first alarm ride in Fahrenheit 451 to test Montag's loyalty and commitment to their society's beliefs. By allowing things to escalate, Beatty could observe Montag's reactions and decide whether he needed to intervene or if Montag would self-correct his behavior. Additionally, Beatty may have been trying to provoke Montag into taking actions that would lead to his own downfall.
'Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear' was voiced by Ned Beatty.
Captain Beatty drove the Salamander to Montag's house in "Fahrenheit 451." Beatty was aware that Montag had secretly been collecting and hiding books, and he wanted to confront Montag about his subversive actions.
Mildred initially called the fire alarm about Montag.
Montag killed Beatty because he was going to be arrested for having books, because Montag was through with Beatty pushing him around all of the time and forcing him to burn down his own house, before Beatty was killed, he was making fun of Montag and trying to get Montag anry at Beatty (almost as if Beatty wanted to be killed), and because Beatty was going to have Faber killed. All of this enraged Guy Montag, and all of the emotion he was feeling finally burst through as he burnt Beatty, killing him.
