Can yon transfer or copy a program that you downloaded on a computer to another computer?

By knowing if those programs have more than 1 file. If you don't know if the respective program has more than 1 file then you obvisouly would not know how many files the respective program came with. And by not knowing that, you cannot transfer them over and you need to install them from scratch. Also, you install the programs and not REINSTALL. You only reinstall a program after it has been uninstalled on the SAME computer. 1. Install program. 2. Uninstall program. 3. Simply, use a USB portal. Copy the info u want to transfer from the 1st PC and paste then in the USB. Then plug the USB again in the 2nd PC and Copy the info from the USB then paste them into the 2nd PC !

yes, there are two ways. the first way is having the installer on one computer and putting it on a disk or flash drive or another device that can hold info on it. the second way is not the best way but it worked for Picasa. what you have to do is go to C:\Program Files or where ever you installed it and take the file and put it on a disk or flash drive or another device.

It depends on how you go about it. If the program is in the uninstalled state, then you would copy or at least run the installer on the new machine. If you mean an installed program which is already in place, that will be hard with most modern programs, since you'd have to copy every folder it uses and all of its registry entries.

One method that sometimes works is to first manually check for any upgrades if the program lets you do that and let it upgrade itself. Then you install that software on the new computer. Then you copy the main data folders from the old machine to the new one. This works with Chrome. You let it upgrade on the old system. Then you install fresh on the new one and then you can copy the data files from the old computer. That way, you will be able to keep any cookies, bookmarks, open windows, and so on.

There are also programs for investigating what a program uses and all its dependencies and creating some sort of means to install it on the new machine from the old installation.
