The Sega Dreamcast was released on November 27, 1998 in Japan; on September 9, 1999 in North America (the date 9/9/99 featured heavily in U.S. promotion); and on October 14, 1999 in Europe.
'SEGA' comes from the company's previous name, Service Games.

Well it depends because each of them we're made by a different person.
From the looks of it, no, there is no sequel. If you have a GBA or DS that can play GBA games, though, you could play Sonic Battle. Also, Sonic the Fighters was itself based on another video game series by Sega called Fighting Vipers. Originally available for the Sega Saturn and playable in arcaeds, Sega re-released the game for the PS2 in Japan. If you don't it not being in English, give this a shot. Also, the Virtua Fighterseries is very similar and is by Sega, if you're willing to give it a shot.
You only play Dreamcast games like Sonic Adventure on your Sega Dreamcast instead of Sega Saturn.
no it cant the reason is wii is stronger and sega dreamcast is from sega and wii is for nintendo. gamecube games could be played on wii but never dreamcast.
Dreamcast BIOS dumps are not legally redistributable. You must dump them yourself from your own Dreamcast.
== == == == The Dreamcast is not backwards compatible with earlier Sega game consoles, so it is not possible to play Sega CD games on a Dreamcast system. However, the Dreamcast's built in music CD player can probably play any audio CD tracks contained in a Sega CD game. Note that not all Sega CD games utilized CD audio tracks for music.
Yes Sega still makes games but not necessarily for DreamCast. The leaders at Sega realized that they can't compete with the other major players in the console market. So they switched to making games and phased out the console for the Dreamcast. The games they create are made primarily for the other game consoles. The Japanese market may still be open to game production for Segas Dreamcast.
Yes there is! 1) ECW: Hardcore Revolution for GBC, PS1, and SEGA DREAMCAST 2) ECW: Anarchy Rulz! for PS1 & SEGA DREAMCAST
Unless you are considering doing a bizzarro mod to your dreamcast, you cannot.
No, you cannot ! Directly from the Sega Saturn manual: "You cannot use Genesis, Sega CD, or Genesis 32X games or peripheral equipment with your Sega Saturn."
There are lot of rumors for a 2013 release date. I'm sure if there's a community of people desiring it, then Sega will resurrect the Dreamcast. If Sega releases Shenmue 3, on the Xbox 360/PS3 or XBLA/PSN, I believe there will not be a Dreamcast 2 anytime soon. Either way, it proves to Sega that people are still purchasing older Sega consoles and games, thus displaying the demand for a Dreamcast successor...
Because the Sega Saturn was defeated by PS1 and N64, and once PS2 came out it defeated the Dreamcast. Sega realized it was time to abandon the console market, so they cancelled the Dreamcast and started making games for other systems.
No. Genesis games only work in Genesis machines, Master System games only work for their intended consoles and same thing with Game Gear games. Needless to say, Dreamcast games only work on Dreamcast.
