There is no distinction between a USB 1.1 and a USB 2.0 cable. A USB cable can be operated at either speed. If I took an A to B USB cable from 1995, I could use it with the newest devices on the market with no problem.

Can a Nintendo ds usb cable be used for the ps3?

Yes. A USB cable is under standardization like an HDMI cable. I like to keep my PS3 components restricted to Sony and purchased the 2 pack of Sony USB cables at amazon for the PS3 for $10 that have a normal USB to plug into the PS3 and a Smaller to plug into the controller. I also went to Walmart and Purchased a Sony flat HDMI Cable for $ 40 when I got the system. I also went with the Sony Charging Station for the Move controllers from Amazon for $20. I know that other good products are available for each of my Sony Purchases and some like HDMI cable can be made to a much higher standard. For the USB 4 Port hub I chose a Belkin The same USB Sony PS3 2 Pack I purchased at amazon for $10 are now $37 and I would have just ordered the single Sony PS3 USB cable for $10

Maximum cable length using 20-gauge twisted-pair shielded cable between two full speed USB devices?

5 Meters or about 16.4 feet for a standard single cable. Lengths can be increased by using repeaters like the ones built into USB Hubs up to a maximum of 5 (82ft), or by using USB Extenders which use CAT5 cable which allow a distance of 160 ft. (50M.). There are also cables that are 36' (11M) USB 2.0 with built in Booster/repeaters available through cableguyusa.com (item 601-706-36-silver-act) or walmart.com (Tripp Lite 36')

What is the difference between USB 2.0 and 3.0?

as far as i can tell its just for all practical purposes nothing but the price ...... there is some technical mumbo jumbo ....(see below) but unless your cable runs are reaching toward maximum....why bother??? "The maximum length of a standard USB cable is 5.0 meters (16.4 ft). The primary reason for this limit is the maximum allowed round-trip delay of about 1500 ns. If a USB device does not answer to host commands within the allowed time, the host considers the command to be lost. When USB device response time, delays from using the maximum number of hubs and delays from cables connecting the hubs, host and device are summed, the maximum delay caused by a single cable turns out to be 26 ns [10]. The USB 2.0 specification states that the cable delay must be less than 5.2 ns per meter, which means that maximum length USB cable is 5 meters long. However, this is also very close to the maximum possible length when using a standard copper cable." from wikipedia The difference between USB1 and USB 2 is that the USB 2 is shielded (like TV coaxial cable) to prevent signal loss between computer and printer. Look for a printer cable that is clear with the shielding visible.

Where can one purchase a USB to USB cable?

USB's are available at many different locations, like offline, and online retail stores where they are sold. Examples of some are 16 gigabytes, for only $8-14, or 32 gigabytes for only about $20-25, and of course prices are different everywhere, but most range around these few selections.

What is the maximum length of the cable of printer?

It depends on the TYPE of interface, meaning, if it's a USB cable it can only be a MAXIMUM of 5 Meters long. However, USB repeaters can be bought for about $20 that extend that cable 16ft. You can piggyback the repeaters but this is expensive. 36ft cables A-B also exist for about $45. In extreme cases you can also buy a USB over CAT5 adapters that will send that signal up to 350ft! These retail around $80 and your average CAT5 cable is $20-40 for a 100ft to 350ft length. IEEE1284 DB25 to Cenntronics (Old Style) cables come in 100ft lengths however there are 5 standards of communication SPP, ECP, EPP etc... the higher speeds dont like being extended past 25ft but this varies due to cable impedance and controler output. It may be wise to use a USB over CAT5 extender and then a USB to Centronics adapter if this needed to be longer then 50ft. I have been selling these solutions for the past 15years and know I am right. =)

Can not conect my PS3 to your samsung lctv with HDMI cable?

If the TV does not have a HDMI plug it is still possible to connect with a plug that has RCA or S-video plugs on one side and HDMI on the other. Sony has an Official Component AV cable and a Component AV cable and USB Cable Pack. Target.com has them for $30 and $20 through the link with Sony PSN. A link to the PlayStation Network PS3 accessories has been added under related links
