hey...
centrino 2 is actually core 2 duo processor manufactured by Intel
that is much expensive than amd turion x2 64 ultra dual core mobile processor
i currently have the "amd" and m really satisfied by its performance
people say it gets heated up but i use my laptop for 24hrs+ n i don't find any heating up issue...
as compared to Intel theres not much difference in the performance
the largest binary number is 1.84467440737e19. to figure this out you put 2 to the exponent of the certain amount of bits. Eg: 2^64 equals the binary number
QAM-64 encodes 6 bits per symbol (2^6=64). Baud rate = symbol rate = bit rate / bits per symbol = 72000 bps / 6 bits per symbol = 12000
2 (i.e., 0 or 1)
64 bit computers process data in larger chunks than 32 bit computers. This means a number of things, but the big 2 are: 1) When programs are written to support 64-bit processors, those programs will generally perform faster than on a 32-bit processor of the same speed. This is partially because 32-bit computers must handle 64-bit numbers in two steps, whereas 64-bit computers only need to use one step. 2) 64-bit processors can address more memory than 32-bit processors. This means your server can have more RAM, and therefore can store more data in memory, making memory-intensive programs like databases faster.

No doubt that amd turion x2 is better than athlon x2. So, I would suggest you to go for turion. But I want to know if core 2 duo is better than the turion x2. Any suggestions.
They Are both as good as each other Amd is slightly older the core duo. It all comes down to Personal Preference i prefer Core duo 2
Turion 64 is based on Athlon 64's architecture, and the main difference between Turion 64 and Athlon 64 Mobile is the power consumption, which is lower on Turion 64: Athlon 64 Mobile dissipates 65 W while Turion 64 dissipates only 35 W (ML models) or 25 W (MT models). Another difference between them is the amount of L2 cache, which is always of 1 MB on Athlon 64 Mobile, while Turion 64 can have a L2 memory cache of 512 KB or 1 MB, depending on the model In addition - Athlon was developed mainly for desktop and turion for laptops Answer Overall Athlon range is economy version and has less performance compared to Turion which are relatively high end processors. Although initially Athlon name was used only for desktop processors, later both Turion and Athlon brands have been used for dual core processors designed for notebook computers. Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core processor family is AMD's most advanced family of dual-core processors made for mobility to date. Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core processor family is a more affordable relatively lower performance range of processors for notebook PCs. Exact specification and performance numbers depends on the model number of the processor in respective families. - Neeraj Sharma Yes, You are right neeraj, i agree with your answer.
Each of these names refers to a different line of chips with different architecture. . The Core 2 is the latest from Intel and currently holds the lead on performance and performance-per-watt for consumers. The Core was the short-lived successor to the Pentium M line of low-power mobile CPUs. The Pentium D was a stop-gap solution to AMD's dominance in dual-core processors, superseded by the current Core 2 line. The Turion 64 X2 is AMD's line of dual-core mobile processors directly competing with Intel's Core and Core 2 mobile lines. . What the guy above said is pretty much your answer. The same goes for Desktop processors too. You can think of core 2 duos as the true successor to the pentium dual cores really, dispite the couple of less popular models in between. They operate similar but faster and better thanks to their improved archtecture. The AMD x2 chips are dual core chips from intels rival AMD. They usually have less cache than the equivelent intel pentium chip but can in most cases hold their own against their rival. AMDs are usually a little cheaper to replace too. Though Pentium chips usually perform a little better when involved with any kind of file or audio / video compression or encoding. Most laptops containing pentium dual cores will be upgradable to a core 2 duo as the socket is the same. My Laptop has a pentium dual core in it and it is pretty nifty. Just dont get a celeron if you dont want a slow machine. Tech guys... Check out Intels new i7 chip for the future of processing technology. --- NeoTech

All major laptop manufacturers incorporate 64 bit chips into their newer computers, any laptop with an Athlon 64, Turion 64, or Intel Core or Core 2 series processors are 64 bit.
Let the hypotenuse be (x+2) and the height be x and use Pythagoras' theorem:- (x+2)2-x2 = 82 (x+2)(x+2)-x2 = 64 x2+4x+4-x2 = 64 4x+4 = 64 4x = 64-4 4x = 60 x = a height of 15 units Area = 1/2*base*height = 1/2*8*15 = 60 square units
