Yes, depending on the person and/or the situation.
One: The person is addicted to computers or a specific computer game such as World of Warcraft (W.O.W.), minecraft, or one of the Call of Duty (C.O.D.) games.
Two: The person is suffering from depression or feels disconnected from society, so computers are there only hope.
Three: The person prefers computers over society, and spends there whole life playing computer games.
Four: The person is neutral. They like computers but the also like going outside having a breath of fresh air and having a nice chat with a friend.
In my opinion, chatting for hours on end in online chat rooms (MSM, SMS, Facebook, IMVU, etc.) with people you know and people you don't know instead of enjoying a nice talk over a cup of coffee, is a waste of time and a good way to distance yourself from the "real world". Others may think this is a nice way to stay connected with society. A short chat on Facebook or any other chat website is not distancing yourself from society, it's when people stay indoors all day chatting about the most uninteresting and boring subjects.
