Hold alt the whole time then tyoe in 9987
For me, the best thing is to download Fadas5. This allows you to type a fada by typing the required letter and then hitting a hotkey. In this case the hotkey is (~) which is the key on the top left under (Esc). The great thing about this method is that it only takes two keystrokes to type a letter with a fada and it also types it in the right order, the way you would spell a word. You can pin this program to the taskbar or to the start menu, or you can simply open it up and hit 'run' any time you're typing in Irish.
Brad Graziadio created ALT+TAB. He is also my father.
If you have an application open, Alt+F4 will shut it down. If you do not have an application running, it will shut down the computer.

To make a star symbol, you can use the Alt code method on a Windows computer. Press and hold the Alt key while typing 9733 on the numeric keypad, then release the Alt key to display a star symbol (★). This method works in programs that support Unicode input.
