Check the CD or manual that came with it. Most modern routers designed for small business or home use are pretty simple to install if you read and follow the directions.
The basic scenario is this:
1. You must have a modem (usually cablemodem or DSLmodem) with a CAT5 output connector.
2. You run a CAT5 cable from the output of the modem to the input of the wireless router.
3. For setup, you need to run another CAT5 cable from an output of the router to the CAT5 socket on a computer. This is to initially configure the router. Once setup has been completed, most wireless routers don't need to have a hardwired computer and this cable can be removed.
4. Read the manual or hire somebody who can read manuals.
5. Follow directions exactly. Every router is a bit different, and setups using the same router can be different. You may want more or less security than I do. You may want a very private setup, or you may want your wifi to be accessible to anybody who walks into your place with a computer. I may want some of my computers to be CAT5 hardwired to the router, and you may want everything to be wireless.
Use a lap-top with a lan port (if wi-fi can't be seen) to set it up then configure wi-fi and disconnect the cable
Yes. You don't HAVE to have a computer, but then you WILL need a web-enabled wireless device such as a smart phone or a tablet, though.
Just connect to the laptop first.
its imposiblle
Wireless networking.
2 words...Wireless Network.
A keyboard without wires which interact with the computer through blue tooth or infrared technology
Impossible without Internet port, unless you have a wireless card.
The computer just keeps typing 77777777777 infinitely when I am trying to type on my desktop. I am using my laptop to try to find an answer. The 7 key doesn't seem to be stuck down. When I reboot my computer, it will work for a while without doing it, but then it starts again. Help!!!!
use a cable or install "remote desktop".
Are you asking if the computer will get internet? If so... Yes. as long as the router is connected to a modem via network cable and also connected to the desktop computer via network cable. The computer will not connect to the wireless signal sent out by the router. Without a wireless card, it will only work if it is hard patched via network cable to a working modem. If you are asking if the wireless router will still work, even when its connected to a desktop computer with out a wireless card, the answer is also yes. and i this situation, a wireless card in the computer is completely irrelevant so I'm guessing this is not what you meant.
This shouldn't be a problem normally, since you paid for a copy of that OS. The operating system should have drivers for the desktop, and it should install onto the desktop without any problems
I would try all of the products from Innovna since they offer holes where you can put wireless products without making a mess on the desk.
Apple computers can be used with wireless printers. These include MAC desktop computers as well as MAC laptop computers. Wireless printers allow printing without the use of a wire connected to the computer.
It depends on how it's set up. If the wireless router is connected directly to the service, you should be able to connect the laptop without the desktop being turned on. If the desktop is connecte directly to the service and the router feeds from the desktop... no, you'll need the desktop to be running. No Its Doesn't.You Just Need A Modem To Be Connected To The Desktop Computers Ethernet Port
Your Answer: Your answer is,<No> I assume that you are talking about a modem such as a netgear which you can plug into your USB port on your pc.>>> . No. If you have wireless and you have a built in Wifi Card, you will be able to connect to your wireless network without and cable connected to you computer. However if you have a DSL like Embarq which in not wireless you will have to connect a cord or buy a wifi card. If you are trying this on a Desktop Computer you may need to have a wireless modem.
WiFi is the wireless technology commonly use4d for internet.you find icon of WiFi on your desktop,by clicking on it you can run the internet without any modem in that particular area.
The use of USB wireless adapters is a great way to get connectivity in any room of your home or office on any computer. They are a great option for desktop computers when you cannot place them near a router to get a wired connection or for a laptop that does not have an internal PCI card. A USB wireless adapter can connect to any network within range and give you a hi-speed connection without the hassle of an ethernet cable or other additional hookups. Best of all, most of these devices install in just a few minutes right out of the box, giving you the functionality you need without the hassle of a long install.
Yes ... it's called Wi-fi, or a wireless connection using a wireless router perhaps.
Your computer will have to have a built in wireless card. You can then go to a WiFi hotspot.
If you got the Driver's CD that came with your computer you can install with that.If you didn't get any CD then you cannot reinstall it without Ethernet.
