Use the MY Documents Folder to store your docs. You may use different OS, but there will be some sort of Doc Folder. Create a new folder and store all your docs, spreadsheets, presentations. You can also store the files by file type as it can be easier to find them.Make separate files for docs, pdf, graphic designs etc.
When naming the file or folder, give a name that reflects its contents as it will be easy for you to make out. Also giving them useful names will also help you to distinguish between work and home files.
Hope this helps.
