Screen savers are set up in the DeskTop and Screen saver section of the System Preferences. After selecting which screen saver you wan to use you can either set a time delay so the screen saver starts after the computer has not been used for a few minutes or set a Hot Corner which will activate the screen saver when you move your mouse to the set corner.
To install new screen savers you can usually double click on the saver file and it will be installed for you.
Well, first go to the tiny apple in the top left corner. Click on it. On the fourth Bar of it, it will say, "System Preferences". Click on that and then press on the second box. On the rectangle, pick either desktop or screen saver, which ever you like.
The most simple way to change the background is to press "Control" and right click then choose "Change Desktop Background." Or, you can go to System Preferences then Desktop And Screensaver.
Right click any empty space on your desktop, and then choose "Change desktop background".

To do this, you save the animation to an easy-to-remember folder, open it, right-click, and set it as the desktop background. WARNING: This does not work on all computers. I also had a problem where it would not make it centered it would make it tiled. I'm not sure how to fix that...
There isn't an advantage to a G4 desktop as it is old technology. Apple stopped using the microprocessor in its computers more than 5 years ago. It's better to go with a more up-to-date processor.
Right click on your desktop, go to Properties, then Desktop, and there you can choose a default windows background or browse for one of your own pictures
Yes. It will take another computer and a firewire cable. You just connect the two computers with the firewire cable, boot the ibook holding the "T" key, then load the install disc in the other computer. When the installer loads, you'll be able to reset the password by selecting the option from the "File" menu and then selecting the iBook (which will be mounted via Firewire). It's a fairly simple process that is listed in greater detail on the net. Good luck.
