∙ 14y agoFor the newer model slim PS3s you go to setting>network connections. This is the last one on the very bottom of the choices. The internet connection allows the Sony Playstation 3 to search for an internet connection for wireless in either automatic mode or manual where you fill in the information. In either case if you have set up your router with a password you need to fill in the password.

∙ 11y agoYou connect the PS3 with WiFi or through the ethernet port to an ethernet cable from your Router or Cable / DSL modem. Your laptop might not have the correct connection and Internet Service Provider and most do not send out a WiFi for connection. PS3 needs broadband cable or DSL service provider and the required modems and routers to allow a WiFi or wired connection
