There are several programs that you can use to convert a color image to grayscale. I recommend that you NOT convert it to pure "black and white" or "bi-tonal", because color images converted to B&W generally look terrible.
It depends on if you're talking about the background of your desktop or the background of a running program. FOR DESKTOP. Rightclick desktop, properties, desktop, make background picture None and change the color to black. FOR PROGRAMS. Rightclick desktop, properties appearance, advanced, window, then change that to black and the font color to something like white or whatever, something you can see on top of black.

It really all depends on what kind of scanner you have. The Glass Versions. Put the picture on the glass under the lid of the scanner - make sure that the corner is up to where the arrows indicate that they should be. Close the lid slowly so that you don't make the paper fly and you set up the options in the panel - choose whether you want a color scan or black or white, and what kind of paper you are using. There should be a finish/start button on the printer somewhere that you press after you finish. The Suck-Into-Machine-and-Spits-Out-Paper Version. Set your picture in the tray and resize the tray so that the picture will fit snugly into the scanning portion. It's pretty much the same as above - you set up the printer/scanner so that it's scanning the picture and make sure you choose whether you want it photocopied or scanned into your computer. Then you make the choice of black and white or color scan and you hit the finish or start button, depending on your scanner.
this is an example of a model.
The most important part of choosing a picture frame is to make sure the frame is not muted by your wall. Never pick a frame that is the same color as the wall behind it. Pick a picture frame that complements the shading in the black and white photograph.
In Adobe Photoshop. You must make mask.
well you mix the two colors together and you get...
Yes, but you won't get colors such as blue or yellow. You will receive a color image of black and white. Your image never had color. Take a new picture in color and you will not have black and white. If you're good with photoshop (or something similar), you can use that to add color that wasn't there before. But that is difficult.
You first need to create a "mask" (Photoshop has a special name for these that I don't recall at this moment). Then using the mask you can tell Photoshop to convert the unmasked portion of the photo from color to black and white.

on my iphone in the photo album, there is a white boarder around the picture. I did something in the settings and mine is now black....what do i go to in the settings to make it white again?
No there isn't. They only have those games for the D.S and 3ds. They might make them, but for now no.
Brightens up the picture, like if you were to take a picture in the dark then it wouldnt make the picture black it would make it able for you to see it

its probably just a photo edit or a computer generated picture.
I heat that there is a hot question about one picture. Your question is also about it? It's a pity that I haven't see this picture, but I think it's not necessary to make it clear. The color is what you see and feel.
