Are there red white and yellow cords that plug into a computer?

This is a hard question to answer, it could mean two things: # Can you plug audio-visual cables into a PC? # Do wires of those colors exist? The answers to both are right here: # I'm assuming that by red, white, and yellow you are referring to RCA cables (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rca_cables). Depending on your PC the answer is probably no, at least not directly. You can attach a VCR, DVD player, game console, or similar device to your computer using a video capture card (or usb stick, google it). Keep in mind that the three cables actually carry different data, you may not need to plug in all three. The yellow one carries video, the white is the left speaker audio, the red is the right speaker audio. The wires are color coded for convenience only, the wires on the inside are all the same. # Yes, the cables that plug into a computer can be any color. Their color is determined by the plastic that insulates them. If you are looking for colorful cables, your local Radio Shack is likely to have the cable you need in the color you want. Otherwise you can color a cable yourself with spray paint. Just make sure to cover any exposed metal parts with masking tape first.

What material could be put around the wires to insulate an electric cable and a plug?

plastic or rubber

How to assemble a extension wire?

If you are constructing an extension cord make sure that the cap ends go on the right end of the extension cable. Match the wire cable end when looking at it, to the proper pin configuration of the plug. A non locking plug will be a 6-30P or a locking plug will be a L6-30P. On a 6-30P plug (cap), black wire to the left blade, white wire to the Y terminal and the green wire to the G terminal. On a L6-30P plug, black wire to the X terminal, white wire to the Y terminal and the ground wire to the G terminal. Looking at the end of the cable it should be matched to this configuration. If it doesn't, look at the other end of the cable. No wires should cross when connecting to the blades on the plug, if they do you have the wrong end of the extension cable and the polarity will be wrong when plugged into a receptacle.

How do you replace male connections on extension cords?

As funny as it sounds there is a right and wrong end of a cord to put the male end on. When you look at a receptical in the wall you will see a longer slot on the left side as compared to the right side, this is the neutral connection. Looking at a plug with the blades facing you the neutral side will be on the right. Now look at the end of the extension cord and you should see the wire colours, black left, white right, green below, this is the correct end for the male end. If when looking at the cord end and the colours are white left, black right, green below, this is the wrong end to put the male end. The white should go to the silver colour screw, black to the brass colour screw and green to the green coloured screw. By doing it this way the polarity will stay true along the cord to the device that gets plugged into it.

How many wires are in a extension cord?

If you are construction an extension cord make sure that the ends go on the right end of the cable. Match the wire end when looking at it, to the proper pin configuration of the plug. Looking at the plug from the blade side directly on you should see a larger blade (silver) on the right, smaller (brass) blade on the left and a U shaped ground blade on the bottom. The white wire connects under the right (silver) coloured screw, the black wire connects under the left (brass) coloured screw and the green wire under the green ground screw. Looking at the end of the cable it should be matched to this configuration. If it doesn't look at the other end of the cable. No wires should cross when connecting to the blades on the plug, if they do you have the wrong end of the cable.

How do you plug in the ether net cable?

They do not plug into a phone jack as the ethernet plug looks the same, but is larger. They should slip right in to the right connection spot and have a clip like thing that you push to remove them, just like a phone jack cable has.

How do you hook up a PS3 to a HD tv?

Two options: For true HD you need an hdmi cable that runs from the ps3 to the television's hdmi input. Alternatively, you can use the video adaptor cable (av or yellow, red, white cable: yellow video, red right sound, white left sound) that came with the ps3. PS2's use the same cable. Plug the yellow, red, white cables into the av inputs of your hdtv. You will only have 480i video however. With an hdmi cable you will usually get 780p for games and 1080 for movies. You can also purchase a PS3 component cable if your HDTV does not have HDMI.
