Net BIOS is a rudimentary basic operating system that allows a computer to pull boot information from another computer on the network. It's extremely useful for installations where a company may want hundreds or thousands of computers set up exactly the same way; a technician can install the programs on one computer, create a disk image, and then use a simple program booted from the Net BIOS to make the disk on the new computer an exact copy of the one on the original computer instead of installing programs on each computer individually.
