One of the major uses of computers in business is to compile data, financial calculations and reports, and reports of many different kinds. Business, institutions, and organizations depend on information, their own as described above and research from outside sources. They're also used for sales and other proposals, publishing internal information, publicity, correspondence, and yes, emails!

These are just the most common uses of computers at work, there are thousands of other, individual applications for individual needs that are specific to that business, company, organization, or other work environment.
