The process by which an economy is transformed from primarily agricultural to one based on the manufacturing of goods. Individual manual labor is often replaced by mechanized mass production, and craftsmen are replaced by assembly lines.
Industralisation is the change in social and economic organisation resulting from the replacement of hand tools by machine and power tools and the development of large_scale industral production.

The Indian state promoted industrialization after 1947 by giving incentives to businesses so that they would expand their operations. They also helped fund a number of infrastructure projects which further helped the economy.

There is NO initiative for a person to want to invent things or own there own home or business in the communist system; as there is no reward for it. In a free capitalistic world, a person can become rich when he invents something that the people want (they buy it). He has incentive. This stimulates more inventors, and the standard of living keeps climbing for the citizens of that particular nation.
