How do you beat cruel melee on Super Smash Bros. melee?

Cruel melee is a variation on endless melee, where the wire frames have improved AI and their attacks substantially more damage as well as more having more knockback. This means that it is impossible to ever complete cruel melee; however, there are strategies to do very well in it. Currently, the undisputed best strategy is with Pikachu. The strategy involves two main parts: grouping the wire frames and attacking them. Grouping them involves getting all five of the wire frames to be within the hitbox of one attack: the down smash. Down smash is used because its hitbox lasts for a long time (a little less than half a second) and because it can KO all of the wire frames in one attack. In order to group the wire frames properly, stand on the outside of the right or left platform. Just before the wire frames finish emerging, double jump and then aerial dodge upward to ensure all of the wire frames land on the platform you were originally on. Then move away from the center of the stage slightly to avoid getting hit as you fall to the bottom platform. Run and jump to the opposite left/right platform and wait for the wire frames to follow. Drop down from the platform and wait at the very edge of the stage. The wire frames should all come through the platform within about a third of a second of each other, and just before the first one touches you, use downsmash. If they do not all come down at the same time, run and jump to the opposite left/right platform, and repeat. Once you have knocked out five of them, jump up to the outside of a left/right platform and repeat the steps outlined above. It is worth noting that another strategy used involves exploiting a glitch and immobilizes all but one of the wire frames. World record videos using this strategy are considered void, but if you're interested, that same youtube user has a tutorial on how to do this.
