you might get SLIGHTLY better speeds but not really, all a gaming router does is prioritize the packets send by the game... this only helps if you or someone else is doing something on the internet
A gaming computer is similar to a normal PC computer but is often optimized for the gaming experience, for example a gaming computer may have a higher quality of graphics, more memory, a bigger hard drive etc.
if your modem has wireless capblility then you don't need a router.
Yes you can. But you would be better off just using a normal gaming computer because of these reasons: 1. Servers have different design targets to a gaming pc. Servers are made to be reliable 24/7 data processors and not gaming pcs. 2. Servers are built to process data and input/output signals and the components are not designed to run large demanding programs. 3. Most games wouldn't be programmed to take advantage of all the hardware. Most games are only designed to take advantage of 2 or 3 cores and even the newest games will only use a max of 6 or 8 cores at an absolute extreme. So if you still want to use a server as a gaming computer go ahead. I use on as a desktop and it works fine running basic program's but if you want to play games I would definitely recommend a normal pc is you have a choice. :D
Depends on which kind of wireless cards your are running. There is Wireless B/G and Wireless N. The b/g cost about $20 if you go to a retail store, but sometimes you can find them for around $5-$10 at second hand stores or sites like Craigslist.com. If you are running wireless N which is the newest one, then you are looking at $50+ at retail stores.
The advantage is lower purchase price. The disadvantage is that the computer has lower or mid-range specifications compared to a higher-end computer. A mid range is suitable for normal home computer use. A higher-specification is better for gaming.
One is Black, the normal wireless controller is White.

Gaming keyboards come with extra features to make game play easier. A more ergonomical layout, macro programmable keys, hotkeys, and special padding up under the keys.
