This is a difficult question to parse, but no, I wouldn't say that there's any pedagogical issue with the use of technology. Technology can allow teachers to present authentic information from other perspectives, and can improve collaboration between classmates. Of course, teachers who rely too much on technology without making pedagogical considerations risk alienating students from their learning space; provided that the teacher-student relationship is still emphasized, presentations that incorporate technology should be perfectly acceptable.
Be clear and confident about the reasons why the new technology is needed.Be sure that the technology won't outdate within a couple years.Explain how these technology skills will help the student in their lifetime.Explain what the student is missing out on by not having access to it.Make sure that the technology is the best piece of technology you could buy dollar-for-dollar to other technology.Buy yourself a piece of the technology you are trying to obtain for the classroom and present every detail you liked about it, emphasize your familiarity with it.
