Moreover, companies were limited to their ability to work with other international partners due to the language barriers and also due to time differences. Using the internet to handle most of the information which includes attaining and communication makes the exchange of data and supply chain faster. One of the biggest advantage that technology has given to supply chain concept is the ability for companies to collaborate. These are designed for the benefit of both the companies. For example : a supplier of goods can be linked with one of the distributors so that if the supply gets low an order can be issued for more goods. In this way the distributor nor the supplier have to worry about the products. In this way of collaboration, it makes it a better usage of the exisiting resources and paves for larger profit on all sides.
