You can check your cookies, if, your using internet explorer go to your start button bottom left corner and click on it, when it opens you will see a list, click on control panel, then Internet options, then by the browsing history click on "view settings" here you will find all websites that have been visited, dates, urls. I don't think you can click and open these links but you will need to write them down carefully to put them in your browser to double check to see what they are. Be careful not to get a virus though.

To find your last sites visited you go to your history tab and it will show you all the sites you have visited for the last week unless you are browsing in an incognito window.

I dont know what version of computer you have, but on mine you can go to your favorites (top left hand corner marked by star) and then a tab will say "history". From there you can choose what day and then delete the sites that you dont want shown.

it is possible that someone else might have been on your computer when you weren't looking! beware! if the websites are bad then it was probably your kids. if they are normal it was probably your spouse.
A government computer is not different from an ordinary computer, except that in the firewall maybe very specific sites might have been blocked. However, this can be circumvented by configuring a suitable proxy in your web browser. So summarized: all websites can be visited from government computers as well.
