On the rear of the unit, in the center of the particle board cover that hides the components, you will see a tag, usually white in color, that says Philco-Ford, Model and Serial Numbers. My pristine unit is a Turntable Changer and 8-track Recorder, System IV, from 1975 and the model number starts with HPC. Just curious, when you do find the model number, I would like to find out which one you have, if it's the same unit as mine. Hope this helps you....

My first Internet I used in 1978, while I studied in London, UK. It was not very pretty but uglier than Arcade-Games and PS3 anyway. Its transfroming is slower than video games because the "really" first Internet invented in 1957. 10 years after the 'really first' video game... The important Answer is: 1957 until 1970s (In East Germany 1980s because military doesn't allow it, they wanted to be different against the West Germans.) But in the 1970s all people find the Internet usually ugly..too many pixel...
Hacking, in its original sense, refers to creative problem-solving and exploration of technology, which can be traced back to the early days of computers in the 1960s and 1970s. One of the earliest examples is the MIT Tech Model Railroad Club, where members experimented with modifying and manipulating technology. However, the term "hacking" in the context of unauthorized access to systems emerged in the late 1970s and 1980s, influenced by various individuals and groups, including early computer enthusiasts and students. Thus, hacking cannot be attributed to a single inventor but rather evolved through various contributions over time.

There are several different ways to tell. If the console has a built-in 8-track tape player, its likely from the 1970s. If the radio face says ASTRO-SONIC its from the mid or late 1960s. Also, assuming the record player hasn't been swapped out in the past, that's a good way to check. From the late 1950s to the mid 60s, the needle arm was black with a gold elliptical piece in the head. In the late 60s the arm was very slim and gray. Towards the early 70s, it was even slimmer and silver. Hope this helps.
