Any time something is of measurable benefit with few or no adverse effects it can be called "useful". Technology has been useful in education for quite a long time now however. So called "super computers" were being used in collegiate education in the late 1960s, giving way to the evolution of spacecraft, computers, home electronics and literally hundreds of the biggest and most profitable companies in existence today. Technology is the future, and keeping children educated on the subject is their only hope for financial and social success, generally speaking. A shorter answer to the question is this: You can say technology is useful in education NOW.

Engineering is the application of science to solve a problem. Technology is the use of science in an object. An example. Problem: I want to see where i am in the dark. An engineer would use the science of electricity and batteries and existing technology of bulbs. The new technology he/she could develop is a torch.
The term "most advanced technology" created suggests that technology has come to a point in time that no further advances can be made. There are many fields of technology that on a dayly basis anounce breakthrough worth calling the most advaced in that field. The media should be able to tell you the most recent.
Blood agar is media rich in reb blood cells and the most commonly used type of media is horse blood media. It is useful for the isolation of bacteria such as Streptococci or organisms that would not readily grow on media that lack red blood cells. For the isolation of Streptococci it is also useful in observing alpha and beta haemolysis.
