Open Systems Interconnection (usually abbreviated to OSI) was an effort to standardize networking that was started in 1982 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), along with the ITU-T.
It is called Open System because it was intended to be used by all vendors. At that time most network vendors had proprietary protocols that were meant to work only with their software and hardware. This caused many vendors to support multiple types of hardware and software which was complicated, expensive and wasteful.
The OSI standard was meant to improve networking for everybody and was open in that it applied to everyone equally.
OSI means Open System Interconnection. OSI is a standard model for networking given by ISO .
The OSI Model stands for Open Systems Interconnection. The answer to the question which layer of the OSI model are layers capable of functioning is at all layers.
It was split in layers to separate different function in different blocks. In such way it's easier to maintain code and support as well as use it. And if it happens that one layer has problem you do not have to fix other layers. In programming it's called abstraction and encapsulation.
Offcourse osi..... TCP/IP is an implementation of osi....
OSI Pharmaceuticals was created in 1983.
because osi is open system interconnection that used to interact with open system
OSI means Open System Interconnection. OSI is a standard model for networking given by ISO .
OSI stands for Open system interconnection model. Application layer is the seventh layer in OSI model.
Open system interconnection is the general networking model. Open system interconnection model is introduced by ISO . Physical layer is the first layer of OSI model.Data link layer is the second layer of OSI model. Data Link Layer, this layer is where we actually assign meaning to the electrical signals in the network.

osi add header at each layer but SNA add header at bottom layers
application -top of osi model physical- bottom of osi model
OSI stand s for open system interconnection. It is a networking model given by ISO. It is introduced so that systems can communicate with each other regardless of their underlying architecture.
The OSI Model stands for Open Systems Interconnection. The answer to the question which layer of the OSI model are layers capable of functioning is at all layers.
Open System Interconnection (OSI) reference model, Consists of seven layers
osi stands for open system interneconnections and it is based on international standard organisation. There are seven layers in osi model 7)Application Layer 6)Presentation Layer 5)Session Layer 4)Transport Layer 3)Network Layer 2)Datalink Layer 1)Physical Layer
