It depends on when you do a burn-in test. If you do it as soon as you build a new computer, then backups are not necessary, since you didn't put anything on there worth saving yet. But the reason you should do backups would be if you ran such a test on a computer which has valuable data on it. Such testing can push the hardware over the edge, and then you won't have access to your data.

But the reason you should do backups would be if you ran such a test on a computer which has valuable data on it. Such testing can push the hardware over the edge, and then you won't have access to your data. If you can repair that PC, there is a chance of accessing the data again after it is repaired. But mistakes and accidents can happen, and if you must reinstall the OS with new hardware, you might accidentally overwrite the data you wish to keep.

It depends on the program... Some programs have an "autosave" routine and you might get lucky, but the answer is --- probably not. You need to understand the difference between typing something in and writing it to disk or posting it to the web. Study how the computer works some more. Go back to the help section for the program in question.

Probably because the computer settings are that way, but it could be automatic detection. That happened to me when I traveled to Israel once. Suddenly I was trying to set my browser back to English because the default there is different. If you go back into your computer settings and tell it where you are, that should solve the problem.
When working on computer programs, it is wise to save and back up your work because of the possibility of a computer or power issue that could shut down the system. If this takes place without the work being saved, all work that was done can be lost, and need to be redone.
It is not important for computer users to back up their data and documents.
"A back up drive is very useful to have. If your computer crashes, a back up drive can hold all of your important information that you saved on your computer. Back up drives can store important files such as pictures and other documents."
you back up your files so if any are important you dont loose them all if your computer crashes :)

Important files are backed-up in case the computer hard-drive developes a fault and dies. When the computer has been repaired, or replaced with new, and the operating system is re-installed, the important files can be retrieved and put back on the new or repaired computer. Imagine a company losing important client information and having no back-up! Another important point is to ensure at least one back-up copy is off-site in case the office burns down! Some companies store their back-up on the cloud or other off-site server. Others may put a back-up copy onto a flash drive that is taken home each night.
On most devices you can't that is why they ask you before you delete them. If you saved them to your computer before you deleted them though you go onto the computer, sync your device and then they should be back on your device.
write a program that deletes important system files, save a back up of course
Consider backing up the whole hard drive, or at least the OS (keep all of the OS together as is, don't copy some parts of it and leave others as this will cause problems) and important stuff. If you don't want to back up the OS, back up your important stuff and create a recovery partition, which your computer manufacturer can help you with.
You need to back up your iPod on your computer before you restore it.
