I have had the same problem. I have just discovered that the 4 pin plug on the 'brick' side of the cable going on to the laptop, has broken. It seems that the tiny cylindrical conductors have sheared, and the plastic has now broken off. I have fixed it by soldering tiny bits of wire into the conductors on the cable side, applying Araldite to the point where the plastic broke, and pushing the protuding small wires into the other side of the conductors on the cable side. I am thinking it will only be a temporary fix, and I will probably be purchasing a power supply from a different manufacturer of the same spec. We'll see how long my fix stays together.

I'm not an expert, but I would contact a repair shop for advice. At the very least, I would stop using the laptop and put it in a well ventilated place in the hope that it will dry without incident. If you can open the computer without invalidating any active warranty, do so to help it dry out.

Maybe yes, maybe no. Depends on if there's a compatible port on the computer in which to plug the monitor in, the graphics card that's installed and the type of monitor may or may not be compatible with an older OS. But chances are that yes, you probably would be able to get some basic working functionality out of it.

Yes, that means that recently you have been putting your phone in the charger to hard and your not cautious. By doing that the charger shapes the hole and makes it too big. Next time carefully insert the charger in your phone.
If the charger was hooked up backwards, it would have drained the battery. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?UseCase=S001&UserAction=viewSimpleDiagInfo&Parameters=info
