it depends on the circumstances, if there is a server in the room and a switch/router then they will be using the mesh star but if not and all the computers have 2 Ethernet ports on the back of them then they are more than likely to be using the Ring topology.
But these days they are normally connected to switch ----> Then a Router -----> then a Server which is connected to the internet and has a very strong and secure firewall.

A bridge is a way to connect two networks. For example, if a user has two or more computers connected to a wired network, and one of those wired computers is connected to a wireless network, the computer connected to both the wired and wireless networks could be used as a bridge. With the bridged networks, the wired computers could access the wireless network.
windows server is a bunch of computers connected to one computer. they basically use the main computers mainframe
Two or more computers connected together create a computer network. Computers within a network can interchange data.
bulletin boards are one example.
Local Area Network (LAN) allows two or more computers to access the internet through a single router and, by creating a shared folder/directory, to share data between any computer connected to the LAN.
Effectiveness of computers in the classroom is a popular debate. There are many positives for their use and many websites discuss this matter. eHow, government websites and Suite101 are examples of online discussion. There are also books available - Plugged in and Turned on by Charles H McCain is one of the many that are available.
