As long as your device has enough space for it, a storage device can always (I think) store a program of any size. An example of this is your computer's internal hard drive, which is a storage device even though it is not removable.

What are the differences between SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards, and how do they impact the storage capacity and compatibility of devices?

SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards differ in their storage capacities and compatibility with devices. SD cards have a maximum capacity of 2GB, SDHC cards can hold up to 32GB, and SDXC cards can store up to 2TB. The main impact of these differences is that devices must be compatible with the specific type of memory card in order to use it effectively. Devices that only support SD cards may not be able to read SDHC or SDXC cards, limiting their storage capacity.

What are secondary storage devices and how do they function?

ANSWERSecondary storage devices are not limited to USB pens. There are also, external hard drives, tape drives, jazz drives, scsi drives, cd's dvd's etc. These devices are primarily used for backing up any important data, which a user / company need. Also as a note to the previous answer, usb pens, vary widely in size from 128Mb up to now, i think its 8Gb. And I wouldn't be surprised if the 8gb limit is lifted even higher sooner or later.Answerthe secondary storage device are called usb(UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS)this storage device will be able to carry out your data through usb and you will be able to open the same data without plgging out your memory card or your hardware "it depends on the capacity of the usb you may use 1gig or 2gig"

You'll be able to find such software online. You will also not be able to transfer "unlimited" satellite images to your device. Garmin devices generally have rather low amounts of storage space.

Can a CD of today hold complex programs?

I'm not sure what you mean by "CDs with large storage capacities". The CD format specifies the number of bits of information that will fit, which amounts to somewhere in the vicinity of 800 megabytes maximum. This is sufficient to hold many of today's computer programs, but it's a far cry from being able to hold "any size" program, and indeed a lot of programs with their supporting data are now too large to fit on a single CD and must be distributed either as multiple CDs or DVDs, which can hold a considerably greater amount of information.

What is meant by kernel a bief answer?

kernel is the core part of operating system or most frequently used programs of operating system which are able to solve most of the requests raised by the users.. since operating system is a huge collection of programs it becomes difficult to load entire OS from disk to RAM in the booting process. so instead of loading entire OS it loads the crust of the OS which can solve almost all the requests raised by users and this crust part of OS is called KERNEL. Incase if this is not able to solve any complex requests then the required programs to sove these complex requests are taken from OS by raising an explicit request
