You can update the drivers but things like Pixel Shader depend on the hardware and therefore cannot be updated. Should you wish for a better performing graphics card, you should look at buying a new GPU.
ATI Radeon 4800 series (4830, 4850, 4870, and 4890) are known for the newest and the best gaming gpu available, today ATI Radeon 4890 and Nvidia geForce 295 are the best gaming gpu available.
nvidia 8200 gpu score 4.7 ati 3100 is a 3.6
Nvidia GeForce 6100 GPU. Definitelly. :)
the Intel is integrated into the motherboard and the radeon is separate is the visual difference....the latest integrated gpu's are still weaker than cards from 2001 from companys like ati or nvidia......
The X1950 pro is a much better gpu. It supports DX9 versus DX7 for 7200. The X1950 is several generations newer than the 7200 as well.
ATI Radeon 3100 is considered as one of the best onboard GPU, it should play WOTLK without problems, depending on what video option settings within the WOTLK, performance may vary from another.
Yes it does. Just be careful if you have dual graphics on your laptop. I had to erase the CATIA settings folder because it only detected the active Intel GPU on the first run.
The RS880 ATI display adapter (0x9710) typically has 512 MB of VRAM. This GPU is part of the ATI Radeon HD 4000 series and was designed for entry-level graphics performance. However, the exact amount of VRAM can vary based on the specific manufacturer and model configurations.
That depends on what you plan on doing. Gaming enthusiasts/hardcore gamers would go for mid to high range NVIDIA GeForce or ATI Radeon GPUs, professionals prefer the NVIDIA Quadro series, and if you're not either of those, a low-end GPU from the GeForce/Radeon series would do.
Hi, It really depends on what your using your Graphics Card (GPU). As most people say gaming I'll go with that. 4gb of RAM memory is usually enough as the bottleneck in a system is most commonly in the processor or graphics card. A good value GPU for gaming would be an ATI Radeon HD5770 which retails at about £100GBP. -Buxty
Yes, the ATi Mobile Radeon HD 4330 supports shader model 3. The HD 4300 series supports up to DX10.1. The GPU is a low end model, but you will be able to play even Crysis on Medium at lo resolutions. GTA4 will be too heavy, but everything lower then Crysis is playable.
the ATI is better since it doesn't rely on system RAM and is a dedicated GPU, giving better performance. The Intel however shares system RAM, resulting in slower performance, e.g. do NOT expect to be able to run something like GTA IV or Crysis on high with it.
