Are you trying to figure out what type of RAM it uses? well even if you're not, I can still help you out.

Funny enough, Compaq Presario isn't specific enough. I'm my computer as an example.

Go to http://www.crucial.com and use the Crucial Memory Advisor Tool. Even if you don't need more RAM, it'll give you the info on your computer.

Obviously for Step 1 select "Compaq" and for Step 2 select "Presario" but step 3 is a little trickier.

Here's my example-

Compaq Presario 061

System Model: PX790AA-ABA SR1511NX NA530

No matter where you go on the internet, you won't find "061" as a Model.

So for Step 3 when you're selecting the Model dpn't search for "061", Search for, well, it's the bold italic part I'm about to show you using my computer as an example.

System Model: PX790AA-ABA SR1511NX NA530

So for Step 3 on that thing on Crucial.com, select "SR1511NX." Again, that's my computer and yours will probably be different. But that's how you find the model.
