No. Each computer has to have a unique name on the network
(example: Desktop-John, Desktop-Matt, Laptop-Kim)
A hostname is the name a computer uses to identify itself to other computers on a network.
uh huh
The requirements to make a peer to peer network are you need a unique name for each computer, a similar network protocol, and supported cabling by the network cards. The computers must have a way to communicate with each other.
The computers name must be unique for all computers on the same network
For a mainframe with terminals, data processing takes place on the mainframe computer only as the terminals are 'dumb'. Conversely, in a network of computers, each computer has its own processor.

A network cannot contain multiple computers with the same name. You'll need to rename one of them. To do so, go into the Control Panel and open "System". Under the "Computer Name" tab, you can change the name of the computer.
They (the computers in the network) connect to each other through a computer protocol (a fancy name of say rules that a computer follow to talk to each other) called bittorrent.
Each computer has a unique name, IP address and MAC address. (not MAC as in McIntosh.)

they all need to be recognized by the host, with an ip address congruent with the host and/or instead of having the workgroup name it needs to be sub name of the host. for instance the host name would be Skybox-Red001, then every other PC that connects will have something like skybox-red002 inregards to the ip address.
theres a few ways you can do this you can install both aplication on both computers or if they are connected to the name network you can turn network discovery ont he main computer on and connect them as the same workgroup and right click the applictions luncher and share it then on the second computer you can connect to it wireless and run it that way
